The bands for this year have been booked, and it's a wonderful line-up of bluegrass talent!

Anyone interested in performing at our open-mic, please contact us. If you'd like to volunteer, please see our volunteer page. And if you'd like to pre-book a reservation at our Sunday "Bluegrass Brunch", please contact us, as there will be only 130 tickets sold.

Free overnight RV parking will be available at the nearby Saltair Pub. This is unserviced camping, but will be a good location, as the large outdoor stage usually used for the Saltair City Limits concerts will be available for jamming. If you want to camp at the pub, you must let us know ahead of time -- click here to contact us .

We'll have the usual Saturday show from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm. at Waterwheel Park. We're adding Sunday performances this year, with a "bluegrass brunch" at the Legion Hall on Chemainus Road (just a block from Waterwheel Park). Doors will open at 9:30, and we'll have bands playing from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. Admission will be $15 for Sunday, which includes a brunch of eggs, bacon or sausages, pancakes etc, as well as great live music. We'll be presenting top bluegress talent, including Runaway Train, the wonderful Maple Mountain Boys and the June Bugs. There will be a limit of 130 tickets for the Sunday presentation, which we're selling in advance, with any unsold tickets available on the Saturday. If you'd like tickets for the Sunday brunch, please contact us.

With Saturday admission priced at a "suggested donation" of just ten bucks, the entire weekend will cost only $25, which includes a great Sunday brunch and camping.

Runaway Train
We're very pleased to announce that Runaway Train will be here, visiting from the United States. The band features four great musicians, including the award-winning, 17-year-old banjoist Luke Dewhirst. You can see more information about the band on the Performers page. You won't want to miss this amazing band, and we're very pleased to bring the group to Vancouver Island.

We do have a lot more top bluegrass talent for you. You'll also be able to enjoy one of the truly great BC bands, the Clover Point Drifters. Faultless instrumentals and vocal harmonies will be on display - don't miss them! There is more information on our Performers page.

Views of Waterwheel Park
The June Bugs will be visiting from Calgary -- this will be an opportunity to hear some amazing four-part, all-female harmonies combined with solid instrumentals. The festival will also feature the region's crowd-favourite, Bluegrass Fever, who will tear through their usual high-energy, upbeat repertoire. And for a special treat, we'll also have the return of Bryon Clayton Thomas, a band which has not been seen in the area for a while. You'll love their melodic instrumentals and vocal harmonies. Now we're very pleased to announce that we'll be joined in our Sunday session by the Maple Mountain Boys, a band which features the multi-award winning mandolin player, Jeff Ellis. Jeff has been Virginia State Champion in both acoustic guitar and acoustic bass. Jeff has played with many top bands throughout the United States, and is joined in this band by Mike (Boomer) Boyd on guitar and vocals, Mike Dempster (banjo) and Barry Fairall (upright bass). Again, please visit our Performers page.
This will be another one of Vancouver Island's wonderful music festivals, here in British Columbia.  We will have a line-up of great performers for you, whom you'll be able to enjoy in the magical surroundings of Waterwheel Park, right in the centre of beautiful Chemainus, BC.
